Oster Fast Feed Clipper Review
The Oster Professional 76023-510 Fast Feed Clipper is a mid-range hair clipper that produces a professional finish at a very reasonable price.
As you would expect from the Oster brand, it oozes quality and excellent workmanship. Just by the weight and build of this clipper you know it’s going to perform.
The clipper comes with a handy, adjustable blade that can be altered for whatever hair length you require. From a very close 000 shave to a medium length trim (size 1). The benefit to this is you don’t need to change blades, just alter the current blade to your desired length.
The Oster Fast Feed also comes with the usual compliment of blade oil, cleaning brush, blade guard and ½”, ¼”, 3/8” blending guide combs. You can easily purchase more blade sets and combs if required.
The Oster Fast Feed has a good, mid range, 12 amp pivot motor which is more powerful than the majority of clippers on the market that only run on a 8 amp motor. The difference is significant, and although it doesn’t have the professional power of the Oster Classic 76, it is still reassuringly powerful. The motor is quiet enough to hear yourself think, but loud enough to know you have the backing of a decent engine.
The Fast Feed is very robust and has a good grip which is reassuring when cutting hair. It looks and feels like a top of the range clipper and with its extremely sharp blade, produces a clean, even cut every time.
I don’t like shaving my hair when it’s wet but these clippers can easily handle all types of hair; wet or dry, afro or thin.
The Oster Pro Fast Feed comes nicely boxed with all the attachments and ready to go. The price is particularly good for these clippers although there isn’t a stand/case for them or the accessories. But I suppose you can’t complain too much given what you’re getting for your money.

These Clippers Are For:
- Anyone who cuts their own hair on a regular basis and wants value for money.
- A back-up to a more expensive professional model.
Conclusion
I really like these clippers and am a big fan of Oster products. I wouldn’t recommend them for constant use and if you want the reassurance of a professional cut you should consider the Oster Classic 76. However, for the average user who wants to save some bucks on their monthly shaves or who likes to keep their hair/beard trim at all times, it is a fantastic clipper.
Let me show you what current owners have to say about it.,
By The Rowdy One,
| After my Wahl power drive clippers began to wear out I decided to try the Oster Fast Feed based on the number of positive reviews I read on Amazon. These clippers are clearly very high quality and easily fit into one’s hand.
The variable length adjustment makes it easy to effect a taper from very close to 1/8″ length without using the guide combs. The Fast Feed’s motor is around 50% more powerful than the standard 8 amp consumer grade clippers.. |
